Here’s an idea: why not go to a bar on Sunday night to watch it but what bar in its right mind shows Downton Abbey? Then we laughed about boondocking near the PBS tower but - nah. Hey, how about asking someone on the street if we could come over to their home on Sunday evenng to watch TV - we’ll bring the popcorn. Hmmm. Maybe not. Then I had a brilliant thought - we can download it for $2.99 and watch it on our computers. Got it. So on Monday (neither Amazon nor ITunes sells it until it has aired) of next week, we will head to the library and download it. Whew. Maybe that will work.
You know, our friends tell us that if we’d get direct TV, we’d be in like Flynn and be able to watch it when it aired, no matter where we were. But they’re only teasing, they know how much we watch TV and know that it would all be a waste - except for one episode of Downton Abbey.
And today we downloaded the last episode of Downton Abbey and will watch it tonight - on my 13” computer screen. Where’s my magnifying glass? Hey, Gar, pop up some popcorn, will you?
